Where Can I Buy A Nice 5 Or 6 Foot Pool Table Online For A Child? ?
Its ok if serious pool players think they look silly, i want something for my 10 year old to knock balls around on, not get ready for an apa tournament or anything. it doesn 't even have to be slate, its only got to last fora few years, i 'd like about 8 years of play on it, but don 't want to get anything fancy till my two year old son is a bit older. 7 footer just wont work, she really wants a decent size table for christmas. thanks for any help. So i recently came across this pool table. i would really like to know any history on it that anyone might feel to share. the plaques say fischer 's mfg co. tipton, missouri serial # 7-3-0545. it measure 7 feet and does not have a coin slot. it is in really good condition. it is also slate. what i want to know is maybe exactly what year it is from and maybe how much it may be worth. any leads or info would be nice. thanks for your help. What Hardware Is Required To Install The Pockets And Side Rails Of An American Heritage Pool Table?
We have recently purchased a new american heritage pool table that came unassembled. the table has now been completed but it is missing two very important elements: the side rails and the pockets. there was at some point a bag that contained the hardware needed to put the pockets and side rails onto the body of the pool table, however, that bag got lost during transit. does anyone know what size and type of bolts or screws would be needed to complete this project?thank you! New Pool Table Felt??
I would like to replace the pool table felt for my buddy (that we play on about 4 days a week) for xmas. i 'm going to stick with the standard green because apparently its easier on your eyes....but i 'm running into other options that i 'm not sure of, such as felt weight. what are the differences and how does it effect the play/ ball motion? and this may sound like a stupid question, but, its a 7 foot table. so does that mean i only need 7 foot of cloth or do i need more than that? and what about extra for the rails...how much do i need there?my buddy used to work in a pool hall so he knows how to do all this, but obviously i don 't want to ask him what i should get since its a gift. Re-felting Pool Table - Cloth Blend Question?
I 've read that when re-felting a pool table, a wool/ nylon blend is the best fabric to use. we have a slate table we got for free recently that desperately needs to be re-felted before being used, but we 're also on a tight budget for the foreseeable future. i 've found some more affordable pool table cloth online, but it 's 100% polyester. i realize it will likely change how the balls roll and generally how well the table can be played on, compared to the higher end cloth, but just how drastic of difference would it be? will it suck to play on the cheaper fabric? the balls roll too slow, or the fabric not last very long in general? the difference in price is pretty much double for the nylon/ wool, but i want to make sure i 'm not wasting money on pure crap.there 's only fabric on one side of the slate. and it 's all torn up; and the rails definitely need to be re-covered too. What Should I Look At When Buying A Used Pool Table?
I am in the process of buying a used 4 'x8 ' valley pool table from a guy. i was wondering what all i should look at when i look it over before i buy it? it was used in a bar so it obviously will have dents and dings on it. the table will need to have new felt put on to it too. he is going to give me a set of balls, a rack, a few cues and a bar light (the green one with 3 shades on it). he is asking $400 for it, including delivery and set up. what are your thoughts? what do i need to look at with the table? how do i know if there are dead bumpers?any help is appreciated,thisguythanks for the input so far. from what the guy told me it was one piece slate. also, i figure with it being a bar table it will need to have new felt put on just from wear and tear and from smoke. even with having someone refelt it it will only cost around $600-$700 ($400 for the table and $200-$300 for felting).
